Along with vegetarian kids having higher IQs and such, studies by Seventh Day Adventists showed that vegetarians live up to an average of 7-15 years longer than their meat-eating peers. Meat has been linked to Alzheimer's, asthma, and male impotence. Elderly people who switched to vegetarian diets have been known to reverse some chronic illnesses!
Without eating little or no animal protein, vegetarians are less likely to form kidney stones or gallstones; and are at lower risk for osteoporosis. If you eat a lot of animal protein, it increases the loss of calcium from your bones. To reduce the loss of calcium, you should replace animal products with plant foods.
